Rules

Rules are subject to change as we see fit. Questions or reports? Open a ticket on our Discord.

  1. 01

    No sky bases

Don't build skybridges, sky cities or anything else that relies on unrealistic floating platforms to avoid zombies or reach places. This kind of cheesing isn't allowed.

  2. 02

Don't build at non-residential locations or on water

Don't move things or build at non-residential locations — gun shops, stores, warehouses, armories — or on water. The exceptions are objects blocking a door or entrance that are meant to be moved to get in, and bases whose safehouse is itself non-residential.

  3. 03

Don't destroy loot containers for XP

Don't dismantle, disassemble or destroy loot containers to level up your skills — one survivor's trash is another's treasure. There are other ways to level up; just ask.

You can pick up furniture or appliances you plan to use, and dismantle anything that can be rebuilt from the building menu (fences, doors, tables and so on). A lot of furniture and appliances can be crafted from the building menu too.

We keep logs of this, and anyone caught doing it will be punished.

  4. 04

    Secure your vehicles

This is a public, non-whitelisted server, so an unattended vehicle can be taken. Keep your vehicles and belongings inside a safehouse. If you need your safe zone expanded, within reason, open a ticket on our Discord and the admins will try to help.

    • 4a Deliberately stealing another player's vehicle isn't allowed. Always check a vehicle's mechanics menu to make sure it doesn't belong to another survivor. Ramming another player's vehicle out of their active safe zone has immediate consequences, and repeat offenders are banned by SteamID.
    • 4b Install a vehicle GPS tracker on any vehicle you want to own — without one it can be taken by others with no penalty. A tracker helps you find a lost or stolen vehicle, lets you lock its storage remotely, and has a kill switch that makes it useless to a thief. Government police will also help track down and recover a vehicle that was deliberately stolen.
  5. 05

    No griefing

Don't deliberately grief or disturb other players. You'll get a warning, then a ban if it continues.

To report griefing or theft, capture it with clipping software such as Medal.tv, Steam Recording or NVIDIA ShadowPlay, then open a ticket on our Discord. We don't act on claims we can't verify.

  6. 06

    Vehicle limits

Don't hoard vehicles. The limit is 20 cars and 10 trailers per safehouse. This isn't to make life difficult: too many vehicles in one area significantly hurts chunk performance.

  7. 07

    Keep item piles reasonable

Don't place an excessive number of items in your safehouse — it can badly hurt performance for survivors passing through. Keep most things inside containers. Items that aren't placed within reason may be cleared by an admin without notice.

  8. 08

    Don't loot cycle

Don't empty containers holding fewer than 5 items onto the floor just to make them respawn loot — dropped items despawn. List those items in your player shop instead, or build a crate nearby and leave them there as a courtesy.
