FAQ
Can't find your answer here? Ask on our Discord.
Why do I get "Workshop item version different than server" when connecting?
A mod on the Steam Workshop has updated. The server checks for mod updates automatically and restarts when one is needed. Once it's back up, you can connect again.
When does the server restart?
Every day at 8AM and 8PM UTC, plus whenever a mod update needs one.
Can I get my safehouse zone expanded?
Yes, and it's free. Open a ticket on our Discord and follow its instructions. Admins review, approve and apply expansions at their discretion, which can take up to 48 hours depending on how busy they are. Keep your request reasonable.
Safehouses expire after 14 real-life days of inactivity.
What happens to dropped items and corpses?
They despawn. A daily floor cleanup clears dropped items and corpses to keep the map running smoothly, and it can catch bags placed on the floor too. Keep anything important in a container — not in a bag or on the floor.
If you die, take your items off your corpse right away. Come back for it hours later and it may already be gone.
How do vehicle claims work here?
Buy a vehicle GPS tracker and install it on any vehicle you actively drive. Trackers automatically expire after 14 days of vehicle inactivity. See rule 4 for what a tracker does and what counts as theft.
What if there's no room in my safehouse for my cars?
Ask for a free safe zone expansion. Open a ticket on our Discord and staff will expand it so your vehicles and valuables are covered.
Why not use the free claim orb system?
New players join all the time, and many don't stay past a day — we'd rather they didn't claim cars they'll never come back for. Claim timers would also leave every new survivor waiting on someone else's timer, and existing players could reserve cars to pick up later, then leave them sitting for days. On top of that, managing vehicle permissions is a hassle. Trackers avoid all of it.
What should I do if I have to disconnect suddenly & I don't have a vehicle tracker?
Don't leave your cars out in the open. Hide them behind walls or trees, away from busy areas — and most importantly, install a vehicle GPS tracker.
